SWL–FINAL DIVIDEND, CLOSURE OF REGISTER & AGM NOTICE |

Dividend Sam-Woode Limited has announced a final dividend of GH¢0.0060 per share in respect of its financial year ended December 31, 2009.
Qualifying date All shareholders registered in the books of SWL at the close of business on Friday, August 6, 2010 will qualify for the dividend of GH¢0.0060 per share, which would be approved at the Annual General Meeting of the Company.
Closure of Register The Register of shareholders will be closed from Monday, August 9, 2010 to Thursday, August 12, 2010 (both dates inclusive).
Ex-Dividend Date The ex-dividend date has been set as Wednesday, August 4, 2010. Consequently, an investor purchasing SWL shares before this date will be entitled to the dividend. However, an investor buying SWL shares on or after Wednesday, August 4, 2010 will not be entitled to the final dividend.
Dividend Payment Date The final dividend of GH¢0.0060 per share will be paid on Wednesday, September 15, 2010.
Annual General Meeting The Company’s Annual General Meeting will be on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at the Teachers’ Hall - Accra at 10.00 am.

SCB has announced the resignation of: (i) Mr. Hemen Shah, Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director and Area General Manager for West & Central Africa from the Board of the Bank effective August 2010;
(ii) Mr. Francis C. Mills-Robertson, Executive Director, Consumer Banking from the Board of the bank effective July 15, 2010.
The Bank has also announced that Mr. Kweku Bedu-Addo, Executive Director, Origination & Client Coverage will replace Mr. Hemen Shah as Managing Director of the Bank.

ETI-OPENING OF REPRESENTATIVE OFFICE IN SOUTH AFRICA |

ETI has informed the Exchange that it has opened a representative office in South Africa in December 2009, making South Africa the 30th African country in which the pan-African bank has a presence.
The representative office is intended to enable Ecobank better serve the growing number of its customers currently doing business with South African establishments, as well as accompany South African corporations seeking to expand or consolidate business ties with the rest of Africa.
