Ghana Oil Company Limited’s Board of Directors has appointed Mr Patrick Akorli as the new Managing Director of the company. The appointment which takes effects from Friday June 1, 2012 makes Mr Akorli the first substantive MD of Ghana’s leading oil marketing company after the retirement of its former MD, Mr Yaw Agyemang Duah.

Prior to his appointment, Mr Akorli was the Finance Manager of GOIL. He joined the company in 1994 and has actively served the oil marketer in several positions. During his 18-year stay with the company, he worked as Chief Accountant, Chief Internal Auditor, Treasurer and also acted in several positions.

Mr Akorli is a Chartered Accountant and also holds and Executive MBA from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
